Andrew R. Rockers

Andrew R. Rockers, age 60, of Waukomis, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, Enid, Oklahoma.
He was born November 11, 1959, in Garnett, Kansas, the son of Raymond J. and MaryAnn (Ohmes) Rockers. Andy attended Garnett High School and went to work for Sooner Completions and Schebester-Bechtel as a rig operator in the oil field. His most recent occupation was with Tools Plus, as a tool pusher.
Andy enjoyed watching the K.C. Chiefs, Kansas Jayhawks, and the Oklahoma City Thunder. He also enjoyed NASCAR, and especially his nephew’s stock-car racing.
He loved spending time with his family. Often known “Uncle Candy” to all of his family, giving the children their first suckers. He spent many hours on the farm, driving the combine and hauling the crops.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond J. Rockers, two infant brothers, and two infant sisters.
Andrew is survived by his life-long partner, Karin Young, of the home; step-daughter, Michele Moritz and husband Todd of Enid, Oklahoma; their children, Tre’ and Rylee Moritz; step-son, George Young and wife Brenda of Enid, Oklahoma; George’s son, Tyler Young; Brenda’s children, Taylor Reynolds and wife Stevie; Tanner Reynolds; mother, MaryAnn Rockers of Greeley, Kansas; siblings, Joan McGowin and husband Marlin of Greeley, Kansas, Betty King and husband Steve of Drummond, Oklahoma, Angela Atwood and husband Mark of Farmington, Utah, Jerry Rockers of Greeley, Kansas, Matt Rockers and wife Teresa of Grove, Oklahoma, Jim Rockers and Patricia Case of Louisburg, Kansas; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, January 31, 2020, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, Garnett, with burial to follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery, Scipio. The family will greet friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Thursday evening, at the funeral home.
